It offers near real-time data updates on insurance investments to clients.
Howden Re has launched Novark, an insurance management and securities administration platform for insurance risk.
Novark enables near real-time data updates on insurance investments and promises to provide institutional capital with a more accessible route into insurance risk, Howden Re said in an announcement on 7 September 2026.
“The platform is designed to give investors greater visibility and control over their investments, while providing insurers and reinsurers with a more connected way to access and manage third-party capital,” Howden Re said.
Razi Naqvi, chief innovation officer of Howden Re, is leading the continued development and implementation of the Novark platform.
Novark will allow Howden Re to support clients across the full lifecycle of risk transfer, from advisory and structuring through to ongoing administration, governance and reporting, the reinsurer said.
Howden Re said that the launch of Novark addresses “growing disconnect in the alternative capital market.”
The reinsurer noted that insurance-linked securities and other forms of alternative capital have become an important source of capacity for global reinsurance. However, the infrastructure supporting those investments have not evolved at the same pace.
