Global insurtech firm bolttech has announced executive leadership appointments across its Asia-Pacific and North America divisions to support its next stage of expansion.
Emma Butler has been appointed CEO for the APAC region and joins the bolttech Group Executive Committee immediately.
She succeeds Philip Weiner, who moves into the role of CEO for North America. Weiner replaces Jon Walheim, who is stepping down and will remain as an advisor to the Group CEO to assist with the transition.
Butler has over 20 years of experience in insurance, banking, and retail across Asia and Europe.
She previously served as regional general manager for Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam, having joined AmTrust Mobile Solutions Asia in 2015 prior to its acquisition by bolttech.
Weiner, a founding member of bolttech’s executive team and an actuary by training, brings more than two decades of industry experience in insurance, technology, and data.
His previous roles within the company include Group Chief Data Officer and Chief Commercial Officer for Asia and Europe, alongside prior senior leadership positions at FWD Insurance and Manulife.
