Hong Kong-headquartered reinsurer Peak Re has joined the Global Asia Insurance Partnership (GAIP) as a principal partner.
GAIP is a neutral tripartite platform that brings together insurance industry members, regulators, academics and international organisations, including the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the World Economic Forum.
The partnership focuses on addressing regional insurance protection gaps and strengthening resilience against emerging risks across Asia.

Under the agreement, Peak Re will participate in GAIP working groups, joint research projects and industry dialogues aimed at developing practical risk management solutions for communities across the region.
Victor Kuk, CEO of Peak Re, stated that the firm will contribute its market expertise to help develop practical responses to Asia’s insurance shortfall.
Min Hung Cheng, CEO of GAIP, noted that Peak Re’s regional experience will support the group’s effort to turn risk research into actionable solutions for the industry.
