GCash is offering overseas travel insurance through its GInsure marketplace, with premiums starting at $4.74 (P299) and coverage for medical emergencies, travel disruptions and personal accidents.
Users can purchase a policy in as little as five minutes, including up to two hours before their flight, according to GCash.
The coverage includes up to $7,927.70 (P500,000) for emergency medical assistance, $792.77 (P50,000) for travel inconvenience benefits and $15,855.40 (P1m) for personal accident and liability insurance.
To buy a policy, users can open the GInsure marketplace, select the Travel category, choose their preferred coverage and confirm their details.
The offering aims to help Filipino travellers manage unexpected medical expenses and travel disruptions whilst overseas.
