The insurer can now support major projects from development through ongoing operations.
MS Amlin is expanding its Natural Resources business into onshore construction for power, mining and oil and gas projects with three new appointments.
The Lloyd’s global (re)insurer has appointed Robin Waller as head of Natural Resources and Lead Underwriter, Upstream, Adam Casselman as Lead Underwriter, Onshore Construction, and Krishna Mistry as Assistant Underwriter, Power and Renewables.
Casselman’s appointment marks a new area for MS Amlin’s Natural Resources business, extending its offering from operational risks into the construction phase of major projects.
The insurer said this will allow it to support clients from project development and construction through to ongoing operations.
Waller joins from Aspen, where he was most recently head of Energy and Construction. He has 31 years of industry experience, including four years with Liberty Mutual in Singapore.
Casselman has 19 years of insurance market experience. He began his career at Catlin and later held roles at Sompo, Canopius and Allianz. He was most recently head of International Construction at Aspen.
Mistry started her career as a graduate trainee in Aon’s Natural Resources team before joining QBE as an assistant underwriter.
