He will relocate from Singapore to Tokyo in mid-2027 whilst keeping his Asia-Pacific growth remit.
Marsh has appointed Andrew Hare as CEO of Japan for Marsh Re, effective 1 January 2027, subject to regulatory approval.
Hare, who currently serves as head of Growth for Marsh Re in Asia-Pacific after joining the company in May 2026, will retain his regional growth role. He will relocate from Singapore to Tokyo in mid-2027 and report to Tony Gallagher, CEO of Marsh Re, APAC.
In his new post, Hare will lead the Japanese reinsurance team, oversee client management, and direct strategic initiatives to expand Marsh’s presence in the country.
He succeeds Jeremy Fox, who will remain in his role as Chairman of Marsh Re, APAC.
Hare brings more than 20 years of industry experience to the position, including 15 years spent in the Asia-Pacific region.
Prior to joining Marsh, he spent 17 years at Aon and worked as head of Insurance for APAC at financial services technology provider FIS.
